Centrally located, just a short five minute walk, and you arrive at the ancient wall, and into the very heart of this most beautiful and enchanting city. Great Breakfast options >> Firstly, included FREE is a ‘help yourself’ breakfast of unlimited tea, coffee, white and brown toast, fruit drinks, fruit, and choice of cornflakes and bran cereals, served in our pleasantly set dining room. It is unfussy, clean and presentable. Simply help yourself to whatever you want. No cooked breakfast because we are surrounded by so many good and cheap places to eat. (e.g. Wetherspoons - £2,79 cooked breakfast 2010 price). Just 5 minutes towards the centre, plus several other cafes within a few hundred yards. A free all-you-can-eat breakfast, the best AND the cheapest option. PARKING Parking in York can be over £20 per day. This close to the centre, you cannot go wrong. No taxis or buses needed. Parking is on-street, in a safe and low crime area.

Walk another 100 yards to Park. You will see Scarcroft Road ahead, left to right. Veer LEFT across park, and cross over at crossing lights. Walk 40 yards. Nunthorpe Ave is on the right ... BIRCHFIELD is on the corner..... See sign above door. South, M1, & A64|Road|1|1. From M1 take A1M North > A64 to York 2. A64 then A1036 York 3. Follow signs City Centre racecourse on right. Half mile, up a slight hill to set of lights at the top – go straight on through these lights and at next set of lights, turn right into Scarcroft Rd. Along Scarcroft Rd approx half mile, past park and school. Nunthorpe Ave is next on your right .... BIRCHFIELD is the property on the corner. see sign above door. Park on Scarcroft Road and we shall help you with parking. North A59|Road|1|1. Approaching York centre, via the A59, turn right immediately after crossing the steel bridge. (Less than 1 mile from centre) 2. At the traffic lights keep left and turn left. Move into the right hand lane and turn right at the lights into Scarcroft Road. 3. Go along Scarcroft Road for approximately half a mile, past park and school. Nunthorpe Ave is next on your right .... BIRCHFIELD is the property on the corner. see sign above door.
