    Welcome to High Tor Guest House, an elegant 4 Star Victorian town house set in the heart of the ancient North Yorkshire Maritime town of Whitby. High Tor is an ideal base from which to explore the town on foot, from the narrow cobbled streets to the foot of the 199 steps leading to the ancient Abbey and church yard of St. Mary’s. Tina & Alan can assure you of a very warm welcome and the highest standards of cleanliness and hospitality, in a relaxed and friendly home from home. For your added comfort we operate a no smoking policy throughout. Our quality accommodation of double, twin and deluxe rooms are well appointed, tastefully decorated and comfortably furnished and many rooms still retaining original fireplaces and ceiling mouldings of the 1860's, but brought right up to date with quality fitted en-suites, central heating, tea & coffee making facilities, hair driers, radio alarm clocks, wine glasses & cork screws, all rooms have flat screen TV's. There is free on street parking with no restrictions and a secure back yard for bikes/cycles, a garden area to the front which catches the sun all day long, a short walk away is the west cliff beach which offers three miles of golden sands.
