Superbly located in the South Hams for exploring The English Riviera with Torquay being only a 15 minute drive away. Wonderfully located for a restful weekend break, business meeting, lunch or a romantic dinner, The Sea Trout in Totnes is a welcoming and friendly place for all. Dogs are welcome to stay at the Inn by prior arrangement only. Stunning, unspoilt riverside walks along the River Dart and upto the Historic Staverton Bridge. Totnes with its castle and excellent specialist arts and crafts shops is within easy reach and can be visited via the Steam Train which runs directly from Staverton into Totnes. Buckfast Abbey is also accessible via the Steam Train which runs directly from Staverton Station. Pennywell Farm, the Otter Sanctuary or one of the many National Trust properties, Blackpool Sands, Dartmouth Harbour, to name but a few are all within easy reach. The list is endless.       Totnes Rail Station|Train|4|If coming by train there is a very limited bus service, however we would advise getting a taxi from the taxi rank outside the station. A38 Plymouth|Road|4|If coming from Plymouth direction, tkae signpost to Totnes, Dartington. Follow road until you reach the Dartington Cider Press Center and take the first right signposted Staverton. Follow the road until you see the sign for The Sea Trout Inn and turn right. Follow country road down to Staverton Bridge (NOTE: width restriction). Continue along road, bearing right until you reach the pub on the righthand side. Large white building. A38|Road|4|Take slip road signposted Totnes, Dartmouth, Buckfastleigh. Take direction signposted Totnes and Dartington. If coming from Exeter direction then follow road for approximately 3 miles. Take left hand turn marked for Riverford Organics. Follow road down to Steam Train station, continue straight for approximately 1/2 mile. Pub is located on the righthand side. Large white building.
