    There can be few more gentile scenes than the historic tree lined Tenterden highstreet, with its caracterful buildings and host of specialist shops. The town is home to The Kent and East Sussex Railway and in the surrounding villages you can visit The Rare Breeds Centre at Woodchurch and a wonderful collection of historic houses, gardens and vineyards including Sissinghurst Castle, Small Hythe Place, Biddenden Vineyards and Chapel Down Winery is just a leisurely walk from The William Caxton Inn The surrounding countryside has plenty to offer too with several quality golf courses, well stocked coarse and game fisheries, riding stables and wonderful walks and cycle trails all on the Inn’s door step. A 15 minute drive south of the town takes you to the historic town of Rye, and the haunting and magical Romney Marsh, or the miles of golden sandy beaches at Camber sands. All 3 rooms are en-suite and newly re-furbished to a very good standard, benefiting from flat screen TVs, hairdryers, tea and coffee making facilities and new luxurious beds and bedding. En-suites have high pressure shower, heated towel rail, luxury towels and complimentary toiletries. The Inn has an allocated parking space for each guest room, with plenty of additional parking in the town centre car parks close by. Easy access to the A28 makes this an ideal venue for exploring Kent and East Sussex, Eurostar and Ashford international are approximately 30 minute taxi/car journey away. Headcorn station is just a 15 minute drive away and will take you directly to Charing cross, London.

Services for Ashford depart from London Charing Cross, or London St Pancreas for the high speed rail link. From Headcorn station, bus numbers 12 and 12RL will bring you into the centre of Tenterden. There are also taxis available at Ashford and Headcorn stations. Maidstone|Road|14|Follow the A274 through Langley, Sutton valence, Headcorn and then Biddenden. After biddenden you will reach a T juction, turn right for Tenterden. Enter the town and keep going down the high street, past the shops and as if you are coming out the other end of town.
