The Half Moon Inn in Templecombe offers large gardens to relax in and ample off-road car parking for your convenience. The Half Moon Inn at Horsington is a great starting point for a tour of Somerset, Dorset and Wiltshire's finest attractions, such as Stourhead Gardens and House (National Trust), Corfe Castle (National Trust), Wincanton Racecourse; Old Sarum “Old Sarum is a wonderful place, full of atmosphere and it has the most fantastic views.”; Fleet Air Arm museum, Haynes Motor museum and Blackmore Vale. Major towns and cities such as Sherborne, Bristol, Bath, Bournemouth, Salisbury, Dorchester and Yeovilton are easily reached. We have 10 en suite rooms in 2 separate buildings, allowing guests to come and go as they please, unrestricted by pub opening hours. All of our rooms are non-smoking and have freeview televisions, tea/coffee making facilities and hair dryers.

Directions to property:
Bristol and the North|Road|40|Follow signs to City Centre. Past Templemeads station and onto A37, well marked on the road surface. South towards Shepton Mallet, Castle Cary and Wincanton then south onto A357 direction Blandford. After 3 miles the roads dips sharply. In the dip take left turning into village. Bournmouth|Road|40|North on A350 to Blandforf Forum. Round Blandford through Sixpenny Handley and Sturminster Newton. Follow signs for Stalbridge and Wincanton. Cross over the A30 at Henstridge, north through Yenston and Templecombe. 1 mile north of Templecombe road dips and swings to the right. Take right turing in bottom of dip into village. London|Road|120|M25 then M3 direction Basingstoke. A303 to Andover/Exeter. Off at Wincanton. Turn left at roundabout, over next one, left at 3rd onto A357. Pass under A303 and past Shell station. 3 miles on road will dip down and take left turn in dip into the village. Bristol International Airport|Road|30|This is a cross country route so some of the roads are narrow and the signposts are sometimes small. Turn right out of the airport onto the A38 in the direction of Taunton. There is a small road on the left (about the 4th one) sign-posted to Burrington, turn left here. Then turn right and then 2nd left sign-posted to Burrington Coombe. Follow signs to Wells and then Shepton Mallet, Castle Cary, Wincanton. Take A357 direction Blandford. 3 miles after Shell station turn left in dip to village.
