    Munden House was originally a collection of old farm cottages. Maintaining all the interesting period features such as part thatch, exposed limestone walls and a centuries old fireplace; it is now a beautiful, comfortable and well equipped haven less than three miles from the historic market town of Sherborne in Dorset. With extensive rural views over the Blackmore Vale, Munden House has tranquil, well established gardens with many corners to find privacy and peace. We have a total of seven guest rooms, which include three little “cottages”, ideal for the more independent guest or young families wanting a greater degree of privacy. All rooms are individually furnished with generous king sized, or twin beds, Egyptian cotton linen, flat screen digital televisions, tea and coffee making facilities, and interesting pieces of furniture.

      From Sherborne take the Dorchester road. About one mile out Sherborne turn left onto the A3030 and follow the road to Alweston which is just over a mile. In Alweston turn into Mundens lane which will be found on the left just before Oxfords Bakery. We will be found about a hundred yards down the lane on the left hand side.
