The Old Manse is a characterful, Georgian era guest house, quietly tucked away in a historic part of Seahouses on Northumberland's beautiful coast. The house was built in the late 18th century and has survived to be one of the oldest dwellings in the village. Within the house, we have double, twin and family guest rooms. One of the most important is the Farne Islands and, from Seahouses harbour, boats will take you out to the world renowned nature reserve, one of Europe's most important bird and sealife sanctuaries. The Old Manse is also within walking distance of Northumberland's beautiful, unspoilt beaches, miles of dramatic scenery and golden sands on our doorstep. Slightly further afield, it is a short drive to many spectacular castles such as Bamburgh, and Alnwick, with its impressive gardens and fountains. We are also close to Holy Island (Lindisfarne), the Northumberland National Park and the Cheviot Hills. Nature lovers, walkers, cyclists, golfers and sea sport enthusiasts all enjoy this area and there is no shortage of nearby attractions to suit all ages and tastes. You'll be able to enjoy our traditional English breakfast, expertly grilled and using locally sourced produce, including the renowned 'Bamburgh Banger' from Carter's and eggs fresh from the farm close to our home.
