    Originally named after an inn that stood within the grounds, the main house is supported by Knightrider House, The Coach House and Gardener's Cottage. Having been hidden and neglected for over a decade, there has been a considerable renovation programme carried out on both the house and its gardens which are now open to the public. The main house, however, remains a private residence. Set within the town and adjacent to the River Stour, surrounded by three-and-a-half acres of delightful Lutyens and Jekyll gardens and almost entirely encircled by the old city walls of Sandwich, the house is afforded a remarkable level of privacy. Accommodation within reflects the integrity of the house and gardens with unmatched decadence and a truly world class feel to each room. Like a fine claret leaving you with a rounded after-taste, our rooms are tailored for the connoisseur.

      Sandwich Railway Station|Train|0.5|Exit the station from platform 1 go left through Delf Side. At the junction of Delf Side & St George’s Road, Cross over into St George’s Lees (Yes, it’s a Cul-de-sac!) At the end is a footpath, follow this, up the steps and turn right onto The Mill Wall / Rope Walk. Take 2nd exit left into Knightrider St. At the junction by the Church, continue ahead (still Knightrider St) do not turn right. Our gates are on the junction of Upper Strand St and Knightrider St, opposite Hoggs Corner. Dover M20|Road|16|Take the A257 towards Sandwich. At the roundabout, go straight over heading into Sandwich into Strand Street, where you will eventually come to a T-junction in front of the Bell Hotel. Turn right and then immediately left into Upper Strand Street and the mani entrance gates to The Salutation are right in front at the end of this road as it turns into Knightrider Street.
