    Saddleworth is renowned for it's rugged stunning landscapes, but in the valleys you can enjoy strolls around the picturesque villages of Delph, Diggle and Dobcross. In Uppermill you can relax on a canal barge or savour the delights of the many cafes and traditional shops. Wellcroft House has a private guest lounge which includes TV, DVD and CD's for your enjoyment. Tea making facilities, a pool table, table tennis and a selection of books and magazines are available. Spectacular views of the Castleshaw valley and the rugged Saddleworth landscape are to be seen. The Diner / Lounge provides a lovely setting for evening meals (via booking) and a traditional cooked English breakfast, featuring locally sourced and home-made produce.       Manchester Airport|Air|18|We advise hiring a car and following the direct from the M62 South. Green Field Train Station|Train|3.5|Take A670 to Upper Mill and follow the road to Standedge. Wellcroft House is on the junction of the A670 and the A62. M62 North|Road|6|From the M62 (North) take junction 22 Saddleworth down into Denshaw village and then follow directions as from M62 South. M62 South|Road|6|From the M62 (South) take junction 21Milnrow and Shaw .Off the roundabout take the Road to Huddersfield A640. The road takes a left turn to Denshaw( about 3 miles). At the strange junction at Denshaw ignore Huddersfield signs and now go to Delph on the A6052. In Delph village resume signs for Huddersfield with a left turn up the A62. Bleak Hey Nook is a small hamlet after the Saddleworth Hotel ( junction before the A670) where you take a left turn on to Standedge Foot Rd., in front of a disused.
