    Beechwood, in the village of Postbridge at the heart of the Dartmoor National Park, has a feeling of warmth and welcome that strikes visitors immediately. Surrounded by gardens and meadows, it is ideally located for enjoying the best of the spectacular moors. Almost everyone who comes here manages to wind down and take pleasure in watching the world go by. There is plenty to do and see in the local area - tiny hamlets, picturesque villages and thriving market towns; National Trust properties; unparalleled walking, cycling and horse riding on the moors; and many opportunities for photographers, botanists and wildflower enthusiasts. For cyclists, we offer secure bicycle storage and a drying area. Each morning, a combination buffet and traditional English breakfast cooked in the Aga is served to set you up for the day. The eggs are from our own free range hens and we use as much locally sourced produce as possible. We also serve the most wonderful cream teas with the best homemade scones - ever!! Beechwood has five bedrooms, each decorated in a cottage style and there is a comfortable guest lounge, with many guides and reference books available for planning your stay. From the moment you are greeted with cup of tea and homemade biscuits, until the moment you leave, we aim to enhance your visit to Dartmoor in every way possible.

      Exeter|Road|26.5|From the end of the M5, continue onto the A38 towards Plymouth. Take the turn onto the A382 towards Bovey Tracey. Stay on the A382 to Moretonhampstead. In Moretonhampstead turn left onto the B3212 signed to Postbridge and Princetown. Upon entering the village of Postbridge over the cattlegrid, we are the 3rd house on the left hand side. Tavistock|Road|12|From Tavistock follow the B3357 onto Dartmoor, towards Princetown initially. Go to Two Bridges and then turn left onto the B3212. On entering the vilage of Postbridge, continue over the bridge, past the East Dart Hotel on the right, then the village hall and St. Gabriels Church also on the right, and then Beechwood.
