    Abbey Lodge Guest House is the large Victorian town house home of Linda and Mike Forbes situated in the heart of Southsea. We will be delighted to welcome you into our home. Once you are here you can relax and enjoy everything we and the local area have to offer. We are just a ten minute stroll from the beach and within easy reach of the Historic Dockyard Heritage Museums Portsmouth University campus Gunwarf Quays shopping and entertainment complex Spinnaker Tower Kings Theatre Wedgewood rooms and the cellars at Eastney. Ferries to France Spain and the Isle of Wight are easy to reach as is the new cruise terminal. Accommodation is provided in nine comfortably furnished rooms where a cosy and welcoming atmosphere is combined with individual attention. A generous home cooked award winning traditional English breakfast is cooked to order for you should you want and vegetarian diets are catered for. Our sausages are bought from our local Butcher and our bacon is selected. Fresh mushrooms and tomatoes are bought daily. We have free wireless Internet access throughout for your laptop or iPhone. Cyclists are welcome and we are happy to securely store bikes overnight for a small charge and to store your baggage for a niminal fee should you wish to check in early or leave late (but only by special arrangement). There is room to park a motorcycle (or two at a squeeze) on our frontage. We are lucky to be in one of the few areas in Portsmouth without a residents parking scheme so local on-street parking is plentiful and free. Check in is from 14:00hrs to 21:00hrs and our cooked to order breakfast is served between 08:00hrs and 09:00hrs.

      Southamton Airport|Air|21|Abbey Lodge Guest House is approximately 30 minutes drive (21 miles) from Southampton International Airport by road. From the airport terminal follow the signs to the M27 and join at junction 5 towards Portsmouth: Leave at junction 12 and follow the directions as above driving down the M275. You may also take a Train from the adjacent Southampton Parkway Station to Fratton.;Fratton Rail Station|Train|1|Leaving the platform at Fratton station at the top of the footbridge turn left and exit onto Goldsmith Avenue. Cross the road at the pedestrian lights and turn right. At the roundabout turn first left into Fawcett Road and cross the mini roundabout further down into Lawrence Road. Go straight over at the traffic lights into Waverley Road. Abbey Lodge Guest House is on the left in about 500m just after Waverley Park: You will see the bright yellow B&B sign outside as you walk down Waverley Road.;M27 J12/A27|Road|4|Follow signs for 'Portsmouth West' via M27 J12/A27 and M275 then follow signs for Southsea. At the roundabout at the end of the M275 continue straight over and then take the third exit into Market Way. Go straight over the mini roundabout and then straight on at two more sets of traffic lights into Anglesea Road you will see Victoria swimming pool on your left. At the next junction still following the Southsea signs follow the road around to the left bearing right almost immediately.;
