We've stayed twice. The bedrooms have every comfort and the breakfasts were wonderful. We also dined at some really outstanding restaurants in the area at the recommendation of the Salters. Meryl is a great cook too so we asked her to cook dinner for us one night. It was delicious and featured local produce. It is well worth the drive from London to spend a few days there.

My wife and I so enjoyed our stay at Glen Lodge. The house was set on high at the edge of the village. The gardens were tended and, in August, the flowers took us all the way down to pubs, restaurants and the little old church at the center of town. Up the very steep grade at Polock hill to the rolling moors all in bloom with sheep grazing and, if you are lucky, maybe a glimpse of a free roaming wild pony. The views from the house down through the valley to town, and the scene from up top of the hill looking out to sea, were outstanding. We hope to get back some day for a longer stay.

Very welcoming home with a beautiful view of the valley down to the beach. Mine was a comfortable room, elegantly decorated, with bathroom next door. Breakfast offered a variety of healthy goodies and local specialities. Fresh baked breads and muffins, and full breakfast available. Attention to detail with quality toiletries and treats. Friendly homeowner.

Cutest B&B with great attention to detail. Service was top notched and the breakfast was delicious. Meryl even baked us scones from scratch to have with our tea.

Wonderful setting - you can walk from the house into Polock ,down to the Weir or up on Exmoor. Lovely food and really friendly helpful hosts. Would definitely stay there again.

From Taunton take the A358 towards Minehead. From Williton follow the A39 to Minehead and through to Porlock. On reaching Porlock, go through the town and turn left at the church onto Parsons Street. Continue to the top of the road until you see a sign which says "No Public Road after 150 yards" and turn left before the sign, over the little bridge and the gate for Glen Lodge will be directly in front of you.
