Inn Details
Generally accredited with being Britain's most beautiful railway station, Petworth's old station is enjoying a new lease of life as one of the world's most unique "destination hotels". Built in 1892, on a rather grand scale for a little country station, to accommodate the Royal Family on their trips to Goodwood, guests can now choose to stay in the restored Edwardian Pullman railway cariages or in the old station house. The original Waiting Room, with its 20' vaulted ceiling is the perfect retreat for a quiet evening in front of the fire or, in summer, enjoy a cream tea on the platform, overlooking the colourful garden.
