    Merritt House is a warm and friendly B&B set in a quiet residential position, just off the sea front, close to the town centre. The traditional Victorian townhouse accommodation is light and airy, and is furnished to compliment the period building which retains many of its original features. Only five minutes’ level walk to Paignton town centre, the seafront, and the bus and rail stations, Merritt House is the ideal base for enjoying the best of Paignton, and the Torbay area. Paignton and the English Riviera have much to offer. Merritt House is located within 2 minutes walk of the South West Coast Path, very close to several ‘blue flag’ beaches, the Paignton to Dartmouth steam railway, a leisure centre with swimming pool and fitness centre, bay cruises, fantastic walks, restaurants and pubs. Walkers, cyclists, sailing enthusiasts and those on activity breaks are welcome to take advantage of our facilities for drying boots and other wet gear. After a good night’s sleep in one of our seven comfortable, centrally heated, en-suite bedrooms, start your day with an AA-award winning breakfast, with delicious local fresh produce, served in our ground floor dining room. We also offer self-service traditional teas and cakes (donations to Dartmoor Search and Rescue), and a variety of tasty packed lunches. All bedrooms have ensuite facilities, and have digital flat screen TV/DVD, hairdryer, iron, ironing board, luggage racks, complimentary toiletries, towels, ceiling fan and hospitality tray.

      M5 / Exeter|Road|25|Follow signs for Torquay, then to Torquay Seafront, and then to Paignton seafront. From Esplanade Road along Paignton seafront, turn right into Torbay Road, opposite the cinema. Take the first turning on the left into Queens Road. Merritt House is three quarters of the way along Queens Road, past the sports field, on the right-hand side (7 Queens Road). Paignton Station|Train|0.3|Frequent train services run from London Paddington to Paignton, changing at either Newton Abbott (about 2 hrs 40 minutes) or at Exeter St Davids (about 3 hours). We are a very short walk from Paignton Station. Come out of the station and turn right onto Torbay Road, and walk along and take the third road on the right, which is Queens Road. Walk past the sports field on the right, and about three quarters of the way along you will find Merritt House on the right (7 Queens Road).
