The Licensed Cherwood is voted very highly on www.tripadvisor.co.uk under Paignton Hotels - check it out and read comments. The property has secured Wi-Fi throughout and in all bedrooms and an added bonus of fast BROADBAND with several ports in the bar so you can surf a pint and the net at the same time. Bedrooms are superior ensuite and offer orthopeadic mattresses, Egyptian linen/towelling, ceiling fans and fridges (ideal for a pint of milk or a pint of beer!) plus tea and coffee making facilities. All bedrooms have DVD LCD wall-mounted TVs & dab radios. The Cherwood also has ""superior"" dble bedrooms - Both rooms used to be family rooms so you can appreciate the size of the rooms....nice and big! On the 1st floor, the twin room, situated at the rear of the building - not scenic, but nice and quiet, also has the benefit of a totally silent fridge - guaranteed! A large selection of champagnes, red & white wines and, of course, flowers & chocolates can all can be provided either for arrival or during your stay. Don't forget the farm-made marmalades and preserves - just like Gran used to make! We now off 3 varieties of marmalades and 2 jams. All room rates are inclusive of our English breakfast with a huge selection of individual cereals, fresh/dried fruits, yoghurts/grapefruits, Very local - from Dartmouth Smokehouse - naturally-smoked Haddock and Kippers. Both are delicious! For customers who cannot manage stairs, a 3' 6"" single bedroom is available on the ground floor, a large room but the bathroom, albeit, has everything, is a squeeze - close to the dining room and bar lounge. I must also point out, this bedroom is not suitable for the wheelchair bound. Honesty always!
