    Hello, and welcome to The Tithe Barn Bed and Breakfast in Cottesmore, which is a picturesque stone village in the unspoilt county of Rutland. There is a local thatched pub (The Sun), village store and Post Office and a great Fish and Chip cafe. The original house was built of the attractive local stone over five centuries ago and retains many unique features - notably the ""Dovecote"". We have our wood pannelled dining room where we serve delicious freshly cooked breakfasts, using locally sourced produce where possible. All of our rooms have everything you need for your stay, some having views over the garden. We offer five rooms in the main house and two superior rooms with superking-sized beds on the ground floor in the pretty cottage annexe - one with a delightful conservatory overlooking the garden. Rutland itself is a very pretty county with many villages having interesting pubs/restaurants including one with a Michelin Star. The three market towns of Oakham, Stamford and Uppingham are within easy reach as are the larger cities of Peterborough, Leicester and Nottingham. We are just two miles from Rutland Water which offers a range of activities cycling,windsurfing,fishing,walking,sailing and birdwatching.There are lots of interesting and historical country houses, castles and estates including Burghley House, Rockingham & and Belton House (NT). We are easily accessible by road, being only five minutes drive from the A1. Check in times are between 4pm and 8pm and departure by 10.30am.We operate a NO-SMOKING policy indoors. We look forward to welcoming you to our home where you will find we offer gracious yet friendly service - we really do have it all!.       Melton Mowbray|Road|10|Take the A606 from Melton Mowbray. In Langham take the turn on the (second) bend in the village signed to Burley and Cottesmore. Follow to Burley on the Hill, join the B668 to Cottesmore. Take the left turn before the garage. Pass the four bungalows, also on the left,the Tithe Barn is on the left at the junction with Clatterpot Lane. Turn left into the driveway, next to the tall hedge, where you will find off road parking. Directions also on our website www.tithebarn-rutland.co.uk Oakham|Road|5|In Oakham find the mini-roundabout at the junction of High Street and Mill Street, near the marketplace. Take the B668 signed to Cottesmore and Greetham. Follow this road into Cottesmore,turn left before the garage the Tithe Barn is on the left, after the four bungalows, at the junction with Clatterpot Lane. Turn left into the driveway, by the tall hedge, where you will find off road parking. There are directions available on our website www.tithebarn-rutland.co.uk under the heading ""find us"" A1|Road|5|From the A1 take the junction with the B668 signed to Greetham, Cottesmore and Oakham. Follow the road through Greetham and into Cottesmore until you come to Colin Easson's petrol station and Ford Dealership. Take the right hand turn after the garage into Mill Lane. After the bungalows on your left you come to the Tithe Barn . Turn into the driveway, BEFORE THE HOUSE, by the tall hedge, where you will find off road parking.
