    CAFÈ- BAR - BISTRO - RESTAURANT - COTTAGE - BEER GARDEN - BED & BREAKFAST - TEESDALE PASTIES Jon & Bev will give you a warm welcome and are pleased to offer high quality food and drink throughout the day in their Bistro and Restaurant and have a varied evening menu available. All our food is freshly cooked for you by one of our Chefs. We are currently 'Brilliant Breakfast' winner for 2011/12 and are a Taste Durham Quality Assured & Local Produce Champion. We have just added a 36 seat Conservatory Restaurant, built in our Beer Garden where No 17 Market Place used to be; so we've called it ""Number 17"" ! Look at our sample menus and extensive Wine List. We also serve 2 & 3 Course Lunches, fabulous Traditional Afternoon Teas; proper cake stand and all!!...add a glass of champagne for a real treat!!!! .............And of course a high quality Sunday Lunch. We're also open throughout Christmas and New Year, especially on Christmas Day with our acclaimed 7 Course Christmas Dinner exravaganza......!!!!...from 1.30pm onwards! BOOK NOW!! Number 17 is also available for private functions and has a separate access giving exclusive use of the Conservatory and Beer Garden. Our Bed & Breakfast accommodation comprises two recently fully refurbished en suite double bedrooms with extremly comfortable double bed, colour television, tea & coffee making facilities and en suite shower room. We also have available our 'Dolls House' Cottage overlooking the garden. Built c.1700 this a traditional Lead Miners' Cottage; one-up-one-down and is probably the oldest dwelling house in Middleton-inTeesdale. Our latest innovation is THE 'Teesdale Lead Miners Pasty' - this uses Teesdale Lamb and locally grown vegetables, is traditionally made as a 'Full Meal' and is a worthy rival to the Cornish pasty !!!
