    Grey House is an Edwardian property surrounded by attractive and established gardens, set in a quiet and private area just 5 minutes drive from the moors and 10 minutes from the coast. Grey House lacks any trace of stuffiness and has an abundance of easy-going warmth. It is an Edwardian property built in 1910, surrounded by attractive gardens, with trees, shrubs, conifers, rose and herbaceous borders. Décor and furnishings are in keeping with the character of the beautiful Edwardian building. The homely atmosphere will immediately put you at ease. It is a 10-15 minutes walk from The Dorman Museum, The Captain Cook museum and Stuart’s Park, complete with lambs, goats, sheep, owls and even squirrels that are tame enough to feed! The town centre is only 15 minutes walk, whilst the train station is a 5-10 minute cab ride away. If travelling further, we are 10 minutes drive from Redcar and the coast, 30-40 minutes from Whitby and 45 minutes from Yarm and the cathedral cities of Durham and York. Relax in the guest sitting room, which has views over the garden lawn, or the elegant breakfast room, where you can enjoy a delicious home cooked breakfast. The hotel has been awarded a 4 star food quality award. Free parking and wireless internet access is available in the guest lounges. A PC can also be made available for guests’ use.
