    Welcome to The Finches Bed and Breakfast in Wootton Rivers, one of Wiltshire's prettiest and most peaceful thatched villages. Cosily nestled behind a sixteenth century village inn, The Finches is a Grade II listed thatched period cottage just a short stroll from the picturesque Kennet and Avon Canal. Now run as a friendly bed and breakfast by Trish and Max, The Finches offers two charming en-suite bedrooms, one a double and the other a double or twin room. Trish and Max look forward to meeting visitors to this beautiful corner of one of England's most fascinating and historical counties. Marlborough, Avebury, Stonehenge, Salisbury and spectacular downland are all within easy reach and there is a wealth of walks directly from the door. The Finches is very conveniently situated behind The Royal Oak, a popular hostelry for lunchtime and evening meals. Marlborough, with it's variety of restaurants and stylish shops is just a ten minute drive away. Both rooms at The Finches have television, Wi-Fi, tea and coffee making facilities, filtered water and hair dryers. An ironing board can be made available on request. We welcome families with children aged 12 years or over, but the cottage is not suitable for very young children and we are unable to accommodate dogs or other pets. As the Finches is a thatched property we have to insist on no smoking either in or around the cottage.

      M4 J14 from London & the east|Road|10|Take the A338 to Hungerford. Turn right onto A4 then left at The Bear Hotel and on through Hungerford High Street. Continue on the A338 for approx. 8 miles, to Salisbury. At the roundabout at Burbage continue on to A346 to Marlborough, and on to Savernake Forest. Shortly after reaching the top of the hill take a left turn, signposted Wootton Rivers and Brimslade. After about 2 miles you will reach Wooton Rivers. The Finches is situated directly behind The Royal Oak pub. M4 J15 from Swindon & the west)|Road|10|Take the A346 south to Marlborough and continue on that road, signposted to Cadley, Burbage and Salisbury. The road takes you through Savernake Forest. Shortly after driving through Cadley take a right turn, signposted Wootton Rivers and Brimslade. After about 2 miles you reach the village of Wootton Rivers. At the centre of the village you will see The Royal Oak on your left. Turn into the pub car park and The Finches is situated directly behind the pub.
