    The Old Malt House in Looe is listed with the AA as a three star Bed and Breakfast and is situated in West Looe just at the bottom of West Looe Hill in close proximity to the harbour and the various pubs and restaurants that are situated on the harbour front. East Looe is just a short walk away across the historically famous bridge, or ferry ride in season, where you will find numerous shops, restaurants, bistro's and pubs and of course a lovely sandy beach. Many people stop in Looe on their way around the costal path and there are some lovely walks and secluded coves to be discovered just around the corner. Looe also has excellent transport links with its own railway station and easy access to Plymouth by bus or car. The Old Malt House was built in 1650 and is a grade II listed building. It is situated just off West Looe Town Square where there are other buildings of similar age and older for example, The Jolly Sailor pub which is on the Looe heritage trail.

      Plymouth|Bus|20|Looe can be acessed by bus fairly easily with a regular service from Plymouth where you can get a National Express coach to anywhere in the country. Plymouth|Train|20|Looe can be accessed by train, via the branch line which runs from Liskeard to Looe. Liskeard is on a main intercity line where it is possible to catch a connecting to train anywhere in the country Plymouth, A38|Road|20|Take A38 past Plymouth, over Tamar Bridge into Cornwall. Continue on A38 until Trerulefoot roundabout, turn Left for Looe on the A387. Follow road down hill to a well signposted right turn to Looe and Polperro. Follow this road Looe, go across the bridge towards West Looe. Take first left after bridge, drive along the harbour front until the fire station on right. Turn right at fire station, past Jolly Sailor continue past Florist and Londis, The Malt House is on the next corner on the left.
