Eels Foot Inn

For lovers of music and the arts The Eels Foot Inn is just a short hop from Snape Maltings concert hall and Henham Park, the venue for the 'Latitude' festival. The Eel's Foot nestles in the pretty hamlet of Eastbridge in the heart of the Heritage Coast and 400 metres from the RSPB Minsmere Reserve. The location is popular with walkers, cyclists, bird watchers and holidaymakers. We have recently incorporated to the pub the 'Eastbridge Cycle Hire Company' with a good supply of 'Giant' Mountain and Hybrid bikes available to hire at competitive rates. The freshwater marshes bordering the Inn afford plenty of opportunity for watching an abundance of birds and butterflies. A bridleway leads you through scenic countryside directly to the sea, a comfortable walk of less than an hour, linking to the Suffolk Coastal Path and Dunwich to the north. We have 6 lovely ensuite rooms to let, which are situated in their own block at the back of the pub overlooking the beautiful surrounding marshes. All our rooms are light, bright, spacious and modern, with a contemporary country feel. They have the luxury of a flat screen television and tea and coffee making facilities. Hairdryers are provided as are lovely quirky smellies. All rooms have their own ensuite showers and baths with white fluffy towels. One room is adapted for wheelchairs and some can accommodate families and good quality cots with linen are also available. Breakfast is included in your stay and we offer fresh local produce, locally smoked bacon and tasty sausages, free range eggs and much much more. This can usually be ordered the night before and tailored to your specification. (Julian's poached eggs are getting quite a reputation for being the best in Suffolk!) We like to be able to provide our guests with information on the surrounding area whether providing a map or offering advice, don't be afraid to ask a member of our staff.
