    Welcome to Varley House, a 4* Guest House, delightfully situated overlooking a nature reserve and the spectacular North Devon coast of Ilfracombe. Varley House was built at the turn of the 19th Century to revitalise and refresh officers returning from the Boer War. We have our own car park and sunny garden and are situated opposite Hillsborough Nature Reserve, which overlooks the harbour, itself a short stroll away. There are plenty of attractive and exciting things to see and do locally. The elegance of its generously proportioned rooms and stylish furnishings are typical of the gracious age in which it was built. Varley House is perfectly complemented by the quality, courtesy and warmth of the hospitality you will enjoy here from the moment you arrive, whether you are planning a really active few days or a restful break. Varley House offers you a unique, friendly atmosphere and the soothing surroundings essential for a relaxing holiday. All of our rooms are en suite except for the single, which has its own private bathroom. Wireless internet access is now available. Please note that we are a no-smoking property. Check-in time: 15:00 and Check-out time 10.00 Family rooms are based upon children under 14 years of age. Save 10% on weekly bookings. We offer a 3 NIGHT BREAK from the 1st October to the 31st May for £90.00 per person (excluding bank holiday weeks.) Many attractions can be found nearby including Museum, Gallery, Aquarium, Hele Corn Mill, Chambercombe Manor, Cinemas and Theatre offering a wide choice of entertainment throughout the year. NORTH DEVON & EXMOOR WALKING FESTIVAL.       M5 motorway|Road|60|come off junction 27 onto the A361 marked Barnstaple. Follow the A361 until you come to a roundabout A399 marked Ilfracombe,Blackmore Gate,Combe Martin follow the A399 for about 21 miles. You go through a place called Hele Bay, as you leave Hele Bay, on your right hand side, just after Ilfracombe Rugby Club, you see a sign for swimming pool. Take the left turning right opposite. We are around the corner then on the right hand side of the next corner
