    The Woodlands is a magnificent Victorian residence which has been sympathetically modernised to provide very comfortable 4* guest accomodation without losing its Victorian charm. Set in large landscaped gardens in an elevated position in the Torrs park conservation area we are in a quiet location but only a short walk from the South West Coast Path the famous Tunnels Beaches the historic Harbour and Ilfracombes restaurants and nightlife. All our bedrooms are furnsihed to a high standard with 5* Egyptian cotton bed linen.We offer a range of accomodation including large deluxe rooms with super king beds balcony rooms with views over the garden a twin room and a variety of doubles.Private car parking is available all rooms are ensuite with free view t.v wi fi and generous hospitality trays. An extensive breakfast menu is served in our elegant dining room.Choose our renowned Woodlands traditional breakfast with local bacon sausage and free range eggs or try our locally supplied smoked haddock or a continental breakfast with croissants and fresh fruit salad. New for 2012 is our Guest Sitting Room a charming triple aspect balcony room newly decorated carpeted and furnished. Our glorious gardens are a special feature of Woodlands . Click www.nationalexpress.com for timetables and fares.;M5 - Sat Nav warning|Road|40|Beware of any satnav instructions taking you off the M5 before junction 27 as the route will probably be longer and slower. Many satnavs take you off the M5 at Taunton and the route over Exmoor which is very pretty but unfortunately may take you longer..;London|Train|180|Trains run from London Paddington station. Our nearest railway station is Barnstaple. You will change trains at Exeter to get to Barnstaple. You can take a bus from Barnstaple to Ilfracombe. click www.nationalrail.co.uk for train times and fares.;M5 J27 (alternative route)|Road|30|(Note - OK if traffic heavy) From the M5 motorway junction 27 follow A361 towards Barnstaple. After South Molton (approx 20 min) turn right at roudabout on A399 to Ilfracombe. Go through Combe Martin and Ilfracombe High Street (approx 35 min). Turn right at traffic lights. Cross the next set of traffic lights and immediately turn left into Torrs Park (directly opposite the 'Tunnels Beaches' entrance). We are 200 metres up Torrs Park on the left. Free Parking is available.;M5 motorway J27|Road|30|From the M5 motorway junction 27 follow the A361 to Barnstaple (approx 35 min) and then follow signs for A361 to Ilfracombe. Pass through Braunton on A361 until you enter Ilfracombe (approx 20 min). At the first set of traffic lights turn left passing the co-op. Turn left at the next set of traffic lights and immediately turn left into Torrs Park (directly opposite the 'Tunnels Beach entrance). We are 200 metres up Torrs Park on the left. Parking is available.;
