We are a family run, traditional coaching inn, situated opposite the idyllic common in Harpenden. We are within easy reach of the M1 & the M25, the town’s train service runs into London every half hour & we are only 20 minutes from Luton Airport. Our popular AA 4 star accommodation is tastefully decorated with plenty of space to catch up on work or simply relax while taking advantage of the mini bar provided. We pride ourselves of providing warm personal service to our customers & our B&B customers are especially important to us. Our aim is to make you feel right at home from the moment you check in until it is time to say goodbye. Once you are settled in you can take your pick of our two fantastic bars downstairs to relax with a crisp cold lager or perhaps one of our exceptional real ales. If you are hungry our traditional menu offers authentic pub fayre at very reasonable prices! We are currently undergoing minor renovations to update the bar areas. The old restaurant section is being turned into a large public bar which will retain all the character of the area while allowing our customers more space to relax in than the old bar area. We have already installed a large retractable projector & plan to move the TV’s currently in the old public bar into this area to create the perfect venue for sports fans. We also have a new darts board & will be adding a couple of gaming machines & a range of pub games to keep you entertained during your stay. The old public bar will be transformed into a comfortable lounge bar that will provide a refuge for the growing number of people who prefer good beer & good conversation without the distraction of TV’s & music. All the rooms & B&B areas are scheduled for redecoration as part of our ongoing & extensive maintenance program. We have & will continue to ensure that these important changes have little or no effect /on our customers & guests will be informed of any possible disruptions at the point of booking.
