Bridge House

  • Inn Details

At Bridge House your comfort is our aim, and we believe that our standards are of the highest quality. All the catering is prepared from fresh, on the premises and when you arrive you will be able to start to relax with our complimentary Cornish Cream tea, made using locally sourced produce and we are members of the Cornish Pasty Association. The house was built in the early 1900s by the local stonemason, and has been extensively and recently modernised into a modern family home to a design that has retained the Edwardian ambiance. All of our rooms are comfortably and extensively equipped, and stylishly decorated with a mixture of modern and traditional furniture. Guests have access to a dining room, and lounge with TV, as well as their own private room, but there is no restriction on anywhere in the house - this is your home while you stay here, and if you want to come and talk to us while we prepare your food in the kitchen, then we would love to talk to you! We're in a quiet, beautiful part of Cornwall, just over the Devon Cornwall border, about 5 miles from Tavistock. Using Bridge House as a base, you can explore Cornwall and Devon, or take advantage of the many leisure amenities that are locally available. Wonderful walks are on our doorstep; there are canoeing trips, extensive cycling trails, and ""treesurfing"", all within minutes of Bridge House. The river Tamar is easily accessible, and there are a number of National Trust properties within easy driving distance. Beaches are not far, the Eden Project is just over an hour's drive away, the Horn of Plenty is a treasure for those who like fine food, and is minutes away - the list is endless, and you'll be spoilt for choice! You could decide simply not to go anywhere, but to stay at Bridge House and be pampered!
