The precise age of Bonningtons is not known however first records originate from the early 1600s so it is likely that the house pre-dates this by a few years indicating a very late 16th century or early 17th century property. It is now a Grade II listed building with a number of key listed features. The estate itself also included Hatfield Forest. It was Jacob Houblon that created the current lake to be found in the centre of the forest some time around 1740. All guest rooms are fully ensuite and have tea/coffee facilties TV (Hairdryer and alarm clock available on request). A continental breakfast is served at anytime and we can recommend lunch/evening meals at the Three Horshoes pub or the George pub across the road to Bonningtons. We can offer free transfers to and from the local station Bishops Stortford. Airport transfers due to airport charges are £2.00 pick up and £2.00 drop off. Transfer times (16:00 to 21:00 collection from and then 08:00 to 11:00 drop off to) A maximum of 5 people per transfer per booking group.
