Lowen Cottage is a converted, turn of the century stone barn. It is situated on the north shore of the beautiful Helford River, overlooking Polwheveral Creek. It has stunning 180 degree south facing views, stretching several miles over much of the Lizard Peninsular.

Inside, the downstairs is furnished with antique oak and mahogany and deep cosy sofas. Upstairs the bedrooms are all decorated in colour co-ordinated Laura Ashley fabrics and bedding, and the beds are all canopied. The whole cottage is newly decorated and guests are invited to use the sitting room and make themselves at home.

From M5 southbound at Exeter, take A30 to Oakhampton, Bodmin and then Truro. (The last 7 miles to Truro from the Wind Farm Roundabout are on the A39. Do not go to Redruth!)

In Truro, stay on the A39 to Falmouth. After approximately 8 miles from Truro, there is a double roundabout called Treliever Roundabout. Turn left at the 2nd one signed A39 to Falmouth. At the next roundabout by Asda Superstore, turn right to Mabe Burnthouse.

Go up the hill and take the first left into Church Road. Stay on this winding road for approximately 2 miles, passing Argal Lake (do not go to Mabe Church). At North Helford Crossroads, turn right to Lamanva. After a short distance, turn left at the sign to Constantine.

Follow this winding road for approximately two and a half miles passing through High Cross. You will eventually go down hill to Constantine. In Ponjeravah, (see map below) there is a sharp left hand turn to Port Navas. There is also a hand made sign at this left turn for the Trengilly Wartha Inn. Take this sharp left turn and go uphill for about 300 yards. Just after the brow of the hill the small turning for Gweal Mellin is on the left. (Do not go to Hendrawna House on the brow of the hill)

Lowen Cottage is at the top of the lane through the five bar gate.
