The Gate House is privately owned and situated adjacent to The Forest Gate Inn on Bell Common, Epping. There are 4 bedrooms all with en suite facilities, one of which is a full disabled facility. All rooms are decorated to a very high standard,including flat screen televisions, tea and coffee making facilities. As well as the breakfast room there is a lounge for guests. A small apartment is also available which is ideal for families. We are situated 1/2 mile from the town centre and 1 mile from Epping Station, 40 minutes to central London. Cambridge is a 40 minute drive away. We are also ideally situated for walks in the forest.

We (from Holland) visited, by surprise, the gate house. The owner Jane was very nice and gave as a very warm welcome at her B&B. We loved the fact that the rooms are mentioned after a tree (because of the forest environment) and the rooms have furniture made of the wood of that tree. Everything was new and modern, lovely shower! Jane prepared a lovely breakfast on the sunny terras. Walking or getting a taxi to the station where you can get the underground to the center of londen (40mn). We loved staying there and we will definitely return. Jane thank you very much!

stayed at the gate house when visiting our daughter.just to say the room we had was very nice and well maintained also had very hot power shower in the en-suite bathroom. the building is new and done to a very good standard. jane made sure our stay was great. john and diane howell (west yorkshire)
