    Avondale B & B is family run. The house is late Victorian, and the rooms are spacious and comfortably furnished for B&B. Although in the town centre it is in a quiet area with lovely views over the town, river and countryside from main rooms, while still being only a short walk to the town centre, Market Square and river front. Please Note: Non-smoking. No pets permitted on the premises. All children are welcome. Un-restricted on street parking nearby, and we can normally find you a space on arrival. If not, for most of the year there is plenty of parking 600 metres up the road from the house.

      Totnes or Paignton|Bus|13|The 111 First National bus runs from Totnes to Dartmouth. For Avondale B&B ask to be put off at the Bowling Green in Dartmouth we are only 100meters from that bus stop. From the Bus station in Paignton buses run to Kingswear which is the other side of the River Dart from Dartmouth, you can then get a ferry accross the Dart, 07.30hrs till 23.00hr English Channel|Boat|1|Contact the Dartmouth Harbour Authority for port and mooring details. (UK) 01803832337. 6 Oxford Street, Dartmouth, Devon, UK, TQ6 9AL /www.dartharbour.org.uk Totnes|Bus|13|Bus 111 runs to Dartmouth, ask to be put off at the Bowling Green, Vicarage Hill is just behind the Bowling Green and Childrens play area up a short hill. Totnes & Paington|Train|13|Main line train to Paignton and Stream train Dartmouth/Kingswear and ferry across the River Dart. We will try & collect you from the ferry. If the steam trains are not ruuning then a Bus from the Bus Station next to the Railway to Kingswear and then accross the River Dart. Main line train to Totnes & River Boat the last 10 miles to Dartmouth. We will try to collect you from boat. Totnes Railway Station it is about a 15 minute walk from quayside, you may want to get a taxi, best prebook. M5/A303 - Exeter|Road|30|Directions: If you are driving coming down the M5/A303/ or from the Exeter direction we seriously recommend taking the A38 towards Plymouth, (the M5 turns into the A38 near Exeter), DO NOT take the SatNav route via Newton-Abbott/Torquay/Paignton, it takes longer, needs a ferry to across river to Dartmouth, which can have an hour wait, at peak times. Take the A38 towards Plymouth, at Buckfastleigh turn off to A384 it is sign posted to Totnes/Dartmouth just follow the signposts.
