    The George Hotel, situated in the heart of Crewkerne, has provided travelers with a warm welcome, comfortable bed and much needed refreshment for over 400 years. Whatever your reason for staying at this three star hotel, you can be sure of a friendly welcome, excellent service and good value for money. The attractive market town of Crewkerne has many fine buildings, made from the honey-coloured ham stone characteristic of the area. Visit the striking 15th-century church or wander around the town’s tearooms and art, antique and book shops or the Heritage Centre. Crewkerne is ideally situated for exploring the south coast and the Somerset countryside. The present building dates from 1832. Its newly decorated rooms have been recently modernised. The cosy lounge is ideal to pop in for tea or coffee. The George Bar has a wide range of real ales, beers, spirits and liqueurs. In the restaurant our chef’s home cooked meals, including mouth-watering sweets, are made with local produce where ever possible. The George remains as it has for generations past, a haven for the traveler and a focal point for the surrounding community.

Leave A303 on A356 Sign Posted Crewkerne. Continue forward onto North Street - A356. Entering Crewkerne. At mini-roundabout turn right onto Market Square - A30. As you enter Crewkerne Town Centre you will see the George Hotel.
