    Ditton Lodge is set in a charming, picturesque position, over looking the Historic Gem town of Cockermouth. We offer a haven for the discerning guest in which to unwind and relax in tranquillity and comfort. Room 1, The Pippard Suite, is an elegant and spacious room with a south facing garden view, with a super king VI Spring bed and luxurious bed linen. The room has oak flooring, a window seat and TV. A separate area between the room and en suite has a mini fridge, sink and tea and coffee making facilities.The en suite, tiled in soft sand and white fittings has underfloor heating, Champney’s spa toiletries and soft white towels . Room 2, Dovers Loft, is a cosy twin bedded loft conversion with sloping ceilings and oak flooring. It has dual aspect Velux windows overlooking the garden to the front and an open field with mature oaks to the rear. The room has extra long Millbrook beds, flat screen TV and tea & coffee making facilities. The en suite bathroom, also with sloping ceilings, is tiled in soft sand colours with white fittings. It has a generous bath with headrest, a thermostatically controlled hand rinse, Champneys toiletries and soft white towels. A traditional or contemporary breakfast, inclusive in our tariff, is served in the breakfast room overlooking the front garden. Breakfast is freshly prepared each morning for your enjoyment with fair trade & local produce where possible. Wi Fi is available to guests. Ditton Lodge is conveniently located half a mile, a few minutes drive or a short walk, into the centre of the Historic Gem town of Cockermouth, with many interesting shops and a variety of restaurants and all that the stunning Lake District has to offer is within easy reach by car or bus.

Merge onto the M6. Take the A7 exit toward Workington 0.2 mi; at Greymoorhill Roundabout, take the 4th exit onto A7/Kingstown Rd heading to A595/Workington; continue to follow A7 2.4 mi; at Hardwick Circus Roundabout, take the 4th exit onto A595/Castle Way, continue to follow A595 (25 miles); take A5086 exit. Ditton Lodge on left. M6|Road|32|Directions to Ditton Lodge Exit the M6 at junction 40 Take the exit sign posted A66 Keswick & Workington. Continue on this road, (approx. 32 miles) You will encounter 1 roundabout at Keswick, then a second roundabout at Cockermouth, stay on the A66. At the third roundabout, take the second exit for Carlisle A595. Continue to the next roundabout and take the third exit- to Cockermouth, A5086. Take the second turn on your right, this Papcastle Road. Ditton Lodge is 200 yards on your right.
