    The bar houses five hand pumps serving local and guest real ales and cider, a full range of lagers, sprits and comprehensive white wine list from around the world. The pub is themed in a traditional style, with many artifacts and pictures of local fishing scenes. The pub is open from 8.00am with food served all day starting with breakfast, morning coffees, lunches, afternoon teas and bar meals served all day till 9.30 pm. Information on the village of Chickerell can be found at the village website.Dorset's spectacular coastline makes up part of England's first natural world Heritage site, The Jurassic Coast line. Chickerell was originally a fishing village with connections to the Fleet and Moonfleet, famous for its little church where Blackbeard supposedly buried his treasures. Nearby Weymouth is a busy summer holiday resort catering for all types of visitors. Further on can be found the Isle of Portland famous for its stone (once used to build St Paul's Cathedral among many of the other famous buildings throughout the country To the west there are many picturesque villages the prettiest of which is probably Abbotsbury with its swanery, Tythe Barn and sub tropical gardens. The towns Chesil beach runs from Portland 18 miles west along the coast towards Bridport. Access between Portland and Abbotsbury can only be gained by crossing the Fleet (a stretch of tidal water home to many types of birds and sea life).
