    The concept of “Homelands” is: Comfortable and well-appointed en-suite bedrooms with luxurious accessories. Up-to-date technology such as free Wi-Fi access and flat-screen HD multi-channel FreeSat TV. Breakfast that is top-of-the range in choice, quality, provenance and responsibility to the environment and to our local suppliers. A home/business with “green” credentials such as reducing energy use and food miles, and using environmentally friendly products. Proprietors Erik and Nikki Burger have previously owned and operated several small restaurants and hotels in the Cotswold area since the mid 1980's. They opened their new venture “Homelands” in April 2010. Nikki is an expert gardener and looks after the Free Range chickens, the eggs of which you will find on the breakfast table. She is also a keen supporter of Racing, and a full Member of the Cheltenham Race Course and the Elite Racing Club. Erik is a keen cook and fan of “real” food- in particular home-baked bread, dry-cured bacon and very tasty sausages. His interest is in nature and conservation, and foraging wild food. We planted indigenous trees in our mini-woodland to produce fire-wood using Short Rotation Coppicing. We have a Solar Photo Voltaic system to generate some of our own electricity.       Cheltenham, Pittville Street|Bus|4|Public transport by bus SWK Swanbrook. The service is available from Monday to Saturday inclusive, but not on Public Holiday Mondays. There is approx. 1 service each hour from Pittville Lane Cheltenham to Gotherington; via Station Road, Post Office, Woodmancote. First departure Cheltenham 7.30am (07.30 Hours); last departure 6.30pm (18.10 Hours). The bus trip takes approx. 20 minutes. Return to Pittville Cheltenham: First departure 7.08am (07.08 Hours); last departure 5.40pm (17.40 Hours). Winchcombe B4632|Road|4|Head southwest on the B4632 (High Street) towards Prestbury and Cheltenham. Continue to follow the B4632 for some 2.6 Miles up Cleeve Hill. Opposite the entrance to Cleeve Hill Golf Club turn right into Wickfield Lane, follow this over the cattle grids as it becomes the narrow and steep Bushcombe Lane. After 1 Mile downhill and as the road flattens out, take the 1st right onto Butt's Lane. Homelands Bed and Breakfast will be on the left after 300 yards. Cheltenham Race Course|Road|3.3|Head north on A435/Evesham Rd toward Bishops Cleeve for 1 ½ Miles. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto the Cheltenham Road into Bishops Cleeve for 0.8 Miles. Turn right at Station Road towards Woodmancote for 0.7 Miles. Turn left at Bushcombe Lane (Signposted to the ‘Village Hall’). After 200 Yards, take the 1st left onto Butt's Lane. Homelands Bed and Breakfast will be on the left after 300 yards. M5 Junction 9|Road|7|Take the A46 direction Evesham, for approx. 2 Miles. Pass the Aschurch Army Base. Turn right at the roundabout, on to the A435, direction Bishops Cleeve and Cheltenham, for approx. 2 Miles. After passing the ‘Farmers Arms’ Pub, turn left onto the Evesham Road, direction Woodmancote. At the T-Junction and traffic lights turn left onto Station Road, for approx. 1 Mile. Turn left at Bushcombe Lane (Signposted to the ‘Village Hall’) After 200 Yards, take the 1st left onto Butt's Lane.
