Cadson Manor

  • Inn Details

Recently awarded Enjoy England Breakfast Award, Cadson was well and truly established by the time Charles I and his troops crossed the Bridge over the River Lynher in 1643, fresh from victory at the Battle of Braddock Down. Today the entrance to Cadson leads to the imposing house, which has been lived in and improved over the years, and now presents a Georgian face to the world. Inside, the accommodation is spacious and welcoming and gas central heating and electric showers provide comforts that would have amazed owners from the distant past. The view down the valley is over meadows grazed by sheep and horses, and the Manor's fishing lake. For the keen - or even not so keen - fisherman our 2-acre lake is stocked with mirror and common carp, tench, bream, gudgeon and roach. The view also encompasses Cadson Bury, an iron age hill fort owned by the National Trust. A large picnic area is available nearby for your use. No smoking in the house, however there is a covered smokers area outside. If you feel our distinctive accommodation is just what you are searching for, please telephone, e-mail or complete our online form to make your enquiry. Set in the heart of the stunning Cornish countryside, Cadson Manor lets you step back in time into a warm and welcoming atmosphere, equipped with all of the 21st century luxuries. All bedrooms are furnished to an extremely high standard, all of which have recently been refurbished offer you a relaxed and quiet stay. Centrally heated throughout, each room has its own thermostat control to suit individual requirements. The breakfast menu boasts Cornish pressed apple juice, fresh free range eggs, locally sourced dry cured bacon, sausages and hoggs pudding, or a lighter selection of kippers or egg dishes, fresh porridge or pancakes, poached seasonal fresh fruits and organic yoghurt. A selection of homemade jams and marmalades, freshly brewed tea and coffee ........ .....this is a home you are invited to share .............
