    The Arches is owned and run by the Birkbeck family. The main building was originally a working farm dating back to 1876. It was sympathetically converted into the hotel in 1998, retaining many original features including the line of old stage coach archways that give the hotel it's name. The hotel is located just 1 mile outside of Brotton, right beside Hunley Hall golf club. We've no connection with the club, but it provides us with a scenic backdrop and peaceful neighbours. The Arches Hotel is an independent, family owned and run hotel located not far from Saltburn in North Yorkshire. We pride ourselves on our relaxed, informal atmosphere and good old fashioned food. We attract a wide variety of guests, from businessmen looking for a hotel without the noise and impersonality of a large chain, to ramblers exploring the Heritage Coast Trail that passes our door. Our location is perfect for exploring the area and we've created these pages to show you what a great place the North Yorkshire coast is.
