    We are situated only a few minutes walk from the centre of Bowness accessed by road or private gate through the garden. We are lucky enough to enjoy peaceful surroundings secluded at the end of a semi private road yet minutes from the town centre and 500m from the shores of Lake Windermere. There are 5 double en-suite rooms individually furnished and decorated to a high standard. Each room has all the necessary features to make your stay as comfortable as possible, plasma screen TV, hairdryer, toiletries, fluffy towels, well stocked hospitality tray. There is a fridge available for chilling wine and holding fresh milk for our guests. There is a very pleasant breakfast room overlooking the garden where we have a summer-house for the use of guests including those wishing to smoke. We source high quality locally produced ingredients in the preparation of our extensive breakfast menu where you can choose from the menu ranging from full English to smoked salmon and cream cheese on a toasted bagel or freshly made pancakes with maple syrup and seasonal fruit. We are happy to fill your thermos flasks and provide a packed lunch. If you have any special requirements we will be delighted to assist you where we can. We are ideally situated for exploring the Lake District by car, on foot or public transport. Tours can be booked from the Guest House and we can provide lots of local knowledge to help you plan your stay. A lockable shed is available for cycle storage.       Windermere|Road|1.5|Drive south through Windermere on the A5074 towards Bowness and the lake. You will see the Co-op on your right. Helm Road is on your left, drive up Helm Road for 100 yds then turn left into Craig Walk (single track lane). Langdale View is 100 yds along Craig Walk on the left. Craig Walk has a concrete bollard part way along preventing through traffic. If you use satnav it is likely to direct you to the wrong side of this bollard. To get to our car park you need to drive in from Helm road. windermere|Bus|1.5|Take the 599 or 517 to Bowness. Get off at the bus stop opposite the Royalty Cinema. Walk back up the hill for about 25 yards to North Terrace, walk through the gap in the wall at the end of North Terrace, turn right and follow the footpath round to the right to get to Langdale View. Windermere|Train|2|15-20 minutes Walk or a quick taxi drive just outside the station.
