    Holmlea Guest House is in a fantastic location - just moments from Lake Windermere, which is famous for its spectacular scenery and wonderful romantic scenic walks. From Holmlea, a short stroll will lead you to Bowness Bay where you can take a cruise on the lake. Bowness village is close by for restaurants, cafés and specialist shopping. Holmlea has comfortable bedrooms with high standards of cleanliness throughout. All our beds are freshly made up with crisp white sheets and traditionally designed all-season duvets. All rooms include fluffy white towels & complementary toiletries, hospitality tray with tea, coffee, hot chocolate & biscuits - replenished daily, TV and hair dryer. We serve wonderful generous breakfasts using only the finest locally sourced produce. Vegetarian & continental also available. We have exclusive membership of the Spa at the Macdonald Old England Hotel located within a 3 minute stroll from Holmlea.       Manchester Airport|Air|80|From the airport it is about two hours travel time to Bowness on Windermere by road. Car hire can be obtained from the Airport or you can arrange collection by Airport Services www.airportservicesuk.com who will transport you directly to Holmlea Guest House. Alternatively travel by train direct from the Airport. Oxenholme|Train|10|At Oxenholme Station change trains for Windermere where the line terminates. Bowness village is 1.5 miles from Windermere station. Buses and taxis are available from the station. For train times call 08457 48 49 50 or visit www.nationalrail.co.uk. M6 Exit 36|Road|15|Follow signs for Windermere on the A590 then A591, at Windermere turn left by the Windermere Hotel (which is on right hand side). Follow signs for Bowness on Windermere, go through Windermere village one way system and keep on this road (A5074) until Bowness village is reached (approx 1.5 miles). At the bottom of the hill is a mini-roundabout. Carry straight on. Take the first left into Kendal Road. Holmlea Guest House is about 200 metres on the right hand side.
