    Wynyard Bed and Breakfast is located close to the peaceful village of Thornicombe near Blandford. Walkers can enjoy a visit to Cerne Abbas to see the famous giant carved into the hillside, or a stroll along the South West Coast Path around the horseshoe bay at Lulworth to experience the beauty of the Jurassic Coast. Lulworth Castle and Park offers a feast of entertainment for the whole family and has a children's adventure play area, pitch and putt, archery and jousting shows. All the family can enjoy a day at Monkey World, near Wareham, the Tank museum at Bovington or a trip to enjoy the thrills and spills of Splashdown Water Park Poole. There are miles of sandy beaches in Bournemouth Bay and at the Bournemouth Aquarium you can try the interactive dive cage. On our very doorstep is Gorcombe Farm which offers a wide range of events and activities for the adventurous including paintball, shooting, archery, fishing, quad bikes and unique vehicle experiences. Blandford Forum situated on the River Stour is a town which was rebuilt in 1731 after a great fire destroyed much of the centre, the work was completed within 30 years by the Bastard brothers, who were noted period architects. As a result, the town is one of the best preserved Georgian towns in England. The market place is much as it has been for over two hundred years and still holds a weekly market on Thursdays and Saturdays. The town hosts the week long Great Dorset Steam Fair every September, a large gathering of steam tractors and stationary engines.
