The Crown Inn

  • Inn Details

The Crown is a historic 300 year old coaching inn situated in the village of Benson in South Oxfordshire, located on the Thames River at the foot of the Chiltern Hills. Benson is also home to RAF Benson, a front line support helicopter base. Everything you would expect from a traditional English public house is on offer at the Crown Inn, with a choice of 9 ales, lagers & ciders on tap there is something for everybody. The two fireplaces add to the cosy atmosphere and are a popular spot for our guests to sit and relax with a glass of wine in winter and in summer our patio area provides a lovely place to enjoy the sunshine. In addition to a thriving bar, we also have a top-quality 28-seating restaurant which is ideal for both quick business lunches and relaxed evening meals. Our fare is a freshly-made fusion of both international and traditional British food and our main speciality are our “steaks”, described by many as the best they have had. We hold monthly restaurant theme evenings where we showcase the cuisines of different countries which give our clients the chance to taste new dishes from around the world. The Crown Inn also has 6 en-suite rooms on offer for guests, wi-fi broadband and very popular Sunday lunches.
