    A delightful B & B in the centre of the picturesque village of Bampton on the edge of the Cotswolds. It is close to Burford, Faringdon and Witney and near the upper reaches of the River Thames. We pride ourselves on being friendly and welcoming and providing good food, excellent rooms and service. Wheelgate House has recently been refurbished. It has a light and airy dining room where breakfast is served. Outside there is a pretty garden with a terrace and sitting area. The hosts are animal lovers and have a pet dog. Bampton is situated in West Oxfordshire, close to Burford, Faringdon and Witney and near the upper reaches of the River Thames. Boats are available for hire at Radcot and Lechlade, only a few miles away. There are village pubs serving food at lunchtime and one serving food in the evening, a coffee house and various take-aways in Bampton itself while the surrounding area has a wide choice of country inns and restaurants that we will be happy to discuss and reccommend.

      Oxford|Bus|18|Take the number 18 bus to Bampton village square. The bus stop is opposite Wheelgate House. Oxford|Road|18|Take the A420 towards Swindon. After about 14 miles, at Buckland, take the right turn to Bampton. Go 4 miles and arrive in Bampton. Go straight on to the Market Square. Wheelgate House is on the left opposite the war memorial.
