    The semi-detached bed & breakfast - Chestnut Tree House is situated along the designated coastal route for walkers and cyclists. You can walk or drive down to the local ‘Sugar Sands’ beach and park your car on the headland (approximately 1 mile from the bed & breakfast). There are wonderful walks all along this part of the Northumberland coast following coastal tracks with excellent scenery. Our Northumberland self catering holiday cottage - Breezes Cottage is a 200 hundred year old single storey detached stone cottage offering excellent accommodation comprising of lounge/dining room with original stone fireplace and wood burning stove, well equipped galley style kitchen and two large bedrooms with en-suite facilities. Northumberland is renowned for beautiful beaches and dramatic coastlines. There are a multitude of castles steeped in history plus stately homes, market towns and attractions available. The most famous castle is Alnwick Castle. Alnwick is also famous for its market town. Every week regular markets are held in the impressive cobbled marketplace overlooked by the Northumberland Hall. The famous Alnwick Food Festival and Music Festival take place here each year and entice thousands of tourists to see the displays. The Cheviot hills is another beautiful area to walk and see the wonder of nature. Cyclists and walkers are attracted to Northumberland for its dramatic scenery and breathtaking views. If you fancy a boat ride, then visit The Farne Islands, two miles off the coast of Seahouses home to wildlife and thousands of birds. Visitors can see puffins, guillemots or the colony of grey seals on the island. Boat trips leave the harbour every day from April to September. Newcastle & Gateshead are less than an hours drive away and offer some excellent visitor attractions and shopping facilities. Newcastles boasts some of the best entertainment, nightlife and restaurants in England. The North East has something to offer everyone.

      A1 North and South|Road|3|From the A1 turn off signposted Alnwick, Castle & Gardens, Denwick, RAF Boulmer. Follow Denwick and bear left around a sharp bend, immediately after the bend turn right following Longhoughton RAF Boulmer. Go under the Railway bridge and bear left into the village. Go past the Celtic Monumnt on you right and the Saxon Church of ST Peter and Paul on your left. Crowlea Road is just after the Church. Look for the Pink House on your left. A1 North & South|Road|3|From the A1 Turn off signposted Alnwick, Castle, Gardens, RAF Boulmer, Denwick. Follow the Denwick Signs, Bear left around the bend and then turn right following signs for Longhoughton, RAF Boulmer. Ignore signs for overheight vehicles and continue into the village under the Railway bridge. Bear left, pass the Celtic monument on your right and the Church of St P:eter and Paul on our left. Turn Right into Crowlea Road, look for Pink House on the left. A1 North and South|Road|3|Turn off the A1 at the Alnwick slip road marked Castle and Gardens, Denwick and RAF Boulmer. Head towards Denwick, around the sharp left hand bend and straight after the bend turn right following signs for Longhoughton and RAF Boulmer. Keep on this road ignoring diversion signs for overheight vehicles. Go under the low Railway bridge and bear left into the village of Longhoughton. Pass the Celtic monument on your right and the Church of St Peter and Paul on your left. Crowlea Road is 1st right
