The Gables Hotel
The Gables is a small family run hotel, 5 miles east of Durham City, England. We are situated on the B1283 road in the centre of Haswell Plough, once a small mining village.
John and Dorcas Milner are the owners, and have lived in the village for 35 years.
The Gables is well known for it's fine English food, in it's small cosy restaurant. So why not call in for Bed and Full English Breakfast, or maybe a pleasant evening meal or just a pint of good English beer.
What ever you have, you'll be made welcome and you will never forget THE GABLES.

Take the road to Newcastle, at the first roundabout follow the sign for Durham and the South. Leave the A1M at the Durham City junction and follow the A690 into Durham City.
At the first roundabout take the first exit and follow the sign for Sherburn B1283. Follow this road through Sherburn Village up Sherburn Hill and the next village is Haswell Plough. - Meeting places:
