From the twin capes of Rincon Bay in Las Galeras to Playa Bonita in Las Terrenas to Los Haitises National Park across the bay from Sanchez to Bahia Chiquita - Samaná in the heart of the peninsula, the sights and sounds of this tropical paradise will remain with you forever, haunting your memory and tempting you time and time again to return. Samana City, Las Galeras (25 kms. from Samana City), Las Terrenas, El Portillo, Cozon and Playa Bonita areas. You can get around on foot, by moto-concho (motorcycle taxi) or taxi, but the best way to see Samana Peninsula is to rent a small 4x4 jeep. Whether traveling on the undulated sand roads along Las Terrenas beach on the northwest side of the peninsula, or at Playa Rincon on the northeast side, the jeep will come in extra handy.

While some call Samana “the last paradise in the Caribbean”, it is easily accessible, with Las Americas International Airport (Autovía del Coral), El Catey International Airport, Arroyo Barril National Airport and El Portillo (a local airport) all just a few kilometers away. Modern, air-conditioned bus companies (such as Caribe Tours) have routes throughout the entire Dominican Republic. It’s possible to rent a car or hire a taxi from any international airport, though we advise against driving after dark as the roads are pretty deserted in some spots. We will be happy to help you to organize your ground transportation and/or domestic flights.
