Switch off your blackberry and join us in paradise. Relax, swim and hike during the day, and we'll cook you an organic feast from our own junglegarden at night. You can do nothing or do lots of things, we're happy to assist you in both! We're close to beautiful beaches, amazing hikes and stunning waterfalls and will show you the best places that most tourists don't see. Our huts are built by Kalinago Indians and are 100% ecofriendly, nice and comfortable. Please contact us. We'd love to have you!

We were attracted by our travel book, where it says "Before you die, spend some time in Dominica, one of the least developed and most unusual islands in the region". Although we had only four days we came home totally relaxed with overwelming impressions. The Island is a jewel, which were brought closer to us by wonderful and welcoming Staci and Pat! Staci understands to make the best out of the food available on the island. Her Breakfast and Dinner were very delicious, and she bakes her own bread. We also enjoyed chatting with them during meal and learned a lot about the Dominican heritage and culture. Pat showed us incredible nature sites and spectacles. Snorceling in Champagne reef with Pat and Staci was fantastic! We tasted national fruit and easily got used to live with the light. Although there was almost no time left to spend the day in the hammock, the recreation value is extreme high. We thus highly recommend Roots as a jungle retreat to everyone living and working in cities and/or loves nature! The cabins are spacious with verandas and hammock, just perfect!

Staying in the beautiful cabins surrounded by nature was so relaxing and fun. Pat and Staci did absolutely everything to make us feel comfortable. Cooking the kids favourite foods, taking us to some amazing places, and also just letting us enjoy the beautiful site. The kids would love swimming in the swimming hole and hiking up the river while I would enjoy my book and the sun. Also it's very close to lots of nice things, like stunning waterfalls, beaches that we would have all to ourselves and some amazing hikes. We LOVE Roots and definately recommend it to everybody!

Directions to property:
We are located outside of Concord which is truly in the heart of Dominica at N15 29’473’ W061 18 071. We chose this spot because it is so serene and untouched. We are also centrally located so you don’t spend your entire vacation driving to “the other side of the island”. “THE ROAD LESS TRAVELED IS SELDOM PAVED”. We are 12 minutes into the bush from the mainroad and are surrounded by the central forest reserve. You will need a 4-wheeldrive to get up here. If you don’t have one, or don’t have a car at all, no problem. We like to meet our guests on the main road to show you the way. We are also happy to pick you up at the Mellville airport or whereever you need us.
