    This place is great. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, which is amazing because you are surrounded by such luxury. I stayed in the "Purple Room" which is one of the least expensive options. However, I was very impressed. I look forward to staying there again on my next visit to DC. I think I will treat myself to one of the larger rooms.

    Here are the basics you need to know about the DC Guest House: 1) fancy breakfast made from scratch, 2) wonderful innkeepers, 3) cozy rooms, 4) reasonable prices (much less than the conference hotels available), 5) well worth the stay. I had my reservations at first because it seemed like the reviews were inflated... but here I am doing the same thing. The reviews are very much on par with what this B&B has to offer. If I had a third thumb, it would be up. Very cool art, too - the ambiance is nothing I have seen at a hotel, inn, or place one sleeps for money.

    We stayed at DC Guesthouse for three nights in early October. The owners have an amazing eclectic collection of art and curios - it was a pity we didn't have enough time to look at it all. The room was spacious and the bed exceptionally large and comfortable. The house is an historic property with creaking floorboards and mysterious plumbing, all adding to the charm. The guests are made up of a good proportion of repeat and regular visitors which always bodes well. The location was perfect for us. We parked our car in the unsecured park around the corner for three days and walked everywhere. It's a good walk to the Mall for a pair of fit oldies. Accommodation prices in DC are outrageous and the big hotels gouge you on things like parking so it in this respect DC Guesthouse offers good value - expecially if you take into account that they offer FREE BEER! The only criticism we'd have is that breakfast we were offered was take it or leave it - no choice and my wife having a fairly restrictive diet had to pretty well bring her own. First day my breakfast was a waffle and sausage but it picked up on day 2. The boys could do well to offer guests a choice. It's only a small complaint but as it is a Bed and BREAKFAST, I guess that's half the experience.

    DC Guesthouse was fantastic, as were the owners, all of which made our stay in Washington all the more enjoyable.
