We were visiting our son and the Aaron Shipman was just 2 blocks from his home. Everyone was lovely. The Inn was charming & welcoming. They had some construction going on but we worked around it. Would definitely stay again.

We have 6 individually decorated guest rooms, all with private bath. This room is located on the second floor and features a queen sized bed, decorative fireplace and private hall bath with single person Jacuzzi and shower. The home is centrally air-conditioned and heated for year round comfort. Wireless Internet and a hot cooked breakfast, served daily at 8am weekdays and 9am weekends are included. The entry foyer greets guests with the sweeping carved staircase. The first floor living room (main photo) features 15-foot ceilings with plaster perimeter moldings, and center chandelier medallion. The hand carved woodwork includes the bay window trim, paneled pocket doors and fireplace mantel and mirror. The room is comfortably furnished with modern sofas, antiques and a player baby grand piano. This room makes a perfect place to relax after a long day of sightseeing or business conference.
In addition to the 6 B&B rooms, we also have a private entranced, furnished apartment. This is a 1 bedroom unit furnished with a queen bed. The large living room has a queen sized sleeper sofa, writing desk, dining area in the front bay window and fully equipped galley style kitchen. A full bath, laundry facilities, wireless Internet and 52" TV with cable ensure a home away from home environment whether you are here for a few days, or a week. The main floor living room features 15-foot ceilings with plaster perimeter moldings, and center chandelier medallion. The hand carved woodwork includes the bay window trim, paneled pocket doors and fireplace mantel and mirror. During the warmer months, in addition to the common rooms inside the house, we have a comfortable covered porch, patio and English garden, open for guests to relax and enjoy. For the budget traveler, the Aaron Shipman House has a very small guest room with a double sized bed. This room offers a private hall. Perfect for a single traveler, or a party of 2 in a pinch. All guest rooms have a phone extension, and TV with cable.The Aaron Shipman House offers a choice of 6 guest rooms, each with private bath. This room is located on the third floor and is furnished with a Queen sized bed. The room includes a private marbled shower bath, wireless internet and TV with cable.

A home away from home. Guests are welcomed to enjoy the comfortable first floor living room and parlor as common space. Relax at the end of the day, or start your mornings here planning the days activities. A full hot cooked breakfast is served each morning family style in the dining room. Weekday breakfasts are served at 8am and weekends are 9am. Menu's change daily, and feature recipies such as German Pancakes, traditional Bacon and Eggs, Spanish Frittata, Omelets, or Eggs Benedict. Please be sure when making your reservation to mention any food alergies or dietary considerations.
Guest rooms at the home have been redecorated to a more modern style, but the main part of the home still includes many of the owners collection of Victorian period furnishings. This towering buffet is featured in the dining room. Washington enjoys a fairly temperate climate. In addition to the common areas inside the home, this home offers a fully private Garden featuring 2 fountains, Grape Arbor, small lawn, and bricked patio. Guests are welomed to enjoy these spaces as well.
