Ryethøjgård is a 10 Ha country estate in Værløse, totally discreet and undisturbed in rural surroundings, and as yet only 16 km from Copenhagen centrum. Placed in the forrest, the surroundings are balsam for the soul, absolutely no noise, just calm, besides for the birds chirp and deer's roar. The nearest and only neighbors are Værløse Golf Course (300m) and Ryet forest in Farum and Furesøen (100m) where you can fish, and outdoor baths (for the more indoor type, are the a public pool 1,000 m from the farm). All rooms have a beautiful view of fields and forest, and the rooms are all renovated in 2010, they have all TV & DVD, radio and wireless Internet access. For these of our guests who love to read, we have a very large collection of novels and short stories (in Danish & English), and we have common room with comfortable sofas and a 42" LCD TV. Bathrooms are all with showers, and we have a spa bath and access to washing machine at a small fee. We serve a delicius fresly made breakfast for our guests, and it's also possible to make your own dinner in the new guest kitchen or barbecue on one of the 3 terraces. Dogs and cats (and all other pets) are very welcome. I hope you like the place, and I will do everything to make you feel at home. Eva Onsberg

5 out of 5A great place to visit - highly recommendable
May 04, 2012
In April 2012 my wife, our 2 kids and I, was visiting my oldest daughter and her husband in Copenhagen. Since their place is quite small, they got us two rooms at Ryethojgaard. What a place!! The rooms are big and clean, fantastic nature - a lovely garden, two big terraces with grills, and a forest to walk in after dinner. We took the metro train to Copenhagen - and after 20min. we were in centrum. Eva the hostess is very sweet and helpful, and she even helped us making a full 6 course dinner for the whole family one evening. We can’t recommend Ryethojgaard enough, and hope to visit again soon The Rhys-Jones Family

December 13, 2011
My husband and I went to Denmark for our anniversary and our stay at the RYETHØJGÅRD farm B&B was a delight! My husband researched numerous different locations and was very excited to bring me here and it did not disappoint! This is a perfect location, quiet and peaceful only 15 min from Copenhagen, a beautiful farm; the home and property are well taken care of. Our host Eva was warm and welcoming. Our room was spotless; beds/pillows comfy and cozy. The bathroom was beautiful, huge with a great shower and spa tub. We did however have to share it with the other guest. We're from the USA and not accustomed to the shared bathroom concept but this is typical for a lot of Europe. Our patio faced a grassy yard that lead to a wooded area. We felt so at home. The kitchen was very handy also. We met some other guest that were from Demark as well and they recommended a wonderful local resturant with traditional Danish food. A few tips: get a GPS if you rent a car and beware bridge tolls are brutal; the railstation is less than 10 min. away and is very easy to use. We hope we are able to visit Demark again one day and we would love to stay here again!
5 out of 5Gorgeous, Wonderful, and Beautiful

My husband and I booked four days at Ryethojgaard, and it is by far the best and most beautiful B & B we have ever stayed in. From the moment we stepped on the property to the time we left we were impressed, Ryethojgaard and its grounds are kept meticulous, our room was beautiful, very clean, comfortable and romantic, without the constant traffic, noise and commotion and we never heard a sound. The owner Eva was very friendly and willing to help with anything we needed, she was very helpful in planning and organizing our daily trips to Copenhagen and Surrounding sights. In the evenings we sat out on our private patio, enjoying a glass of wine and the superb country scenery; total peace and relaxation! (a secret hint; Ryethojgaard have an outstanding private wine cellar with some great wines, and if you ask nicely Eva will sell you a bottle or two them for a really fair price). The breakfast was delicious every morning and they complied with some of our dietary restrictions with no problems. It was the best vacation we've ever taken and at the end of our stay we didn't want to leave :-) .... We highly recommend this B and B. Georg and Sue
4.0 out of 5A great stay in the lovely countryside outside Copenhagen.
June 16, 2011
My husband and I stayed at this B & B for two nights in June 2011. At first meeting the owner, I was a bit worried. She was not very friendly right off the bat, but after speaking with her for a bit longer, she warmed up and was very helpful. The property is set in the picturesque countryside just outside Copenhagen. It is beautiful and absolutely HUGE. The B & B is a bit of a hostel set-up. You have an entire building to yourself with 5 individual rooms. A MASSIVE bathroom, kitchen, eating and living area are shared amongst the guests staying in the five rooms. We were given a double room in the upstairs/loft area of the B & B. The two upstairs rooms have their own very large living room area. Internet is free. The bedrooms, as well as the rest of the B & B are very clean and the beds are comfortable. Large kitchen to cook dinner, fridge and cupboards to store food, as well as a beautiful patio area with BBQ. The prepared breakfast was 8 Euro and well worth it if you do not want to cook your own breakfast. Laundry facilities are available for 50 DKK per wash and was definitely handy. It was a beautiful and comfortable stay. We would certainly recommend this B & B to others, especially those who are visiting Copenhagen for a bit of time and don't want to stay right in the city, or spend ridiculous amounts of money at a Copenhagen hotel.

We spent three enjoyable days at Ryethøjgård, nice host, great breakfast, very clean and comfortable, in our opinion a "five star" place, and we will definitely come back. We will recoommend this place to everyone who likes peace and nature just outside your door, just 10 minutes from Copenhagen. Eloise & Pierre, France
5 out of 5Very very good
June 13, 2011
My husband and I had a lovely stay. We arrived late, but were made very welcome by Eva (the owner) and we felt totally at home. The room was beautiful and spotlessly with a double door directly to a terrace. We have never experienced such a peace and tranquility as we did at ‘Ryethojgaard’, the place is surrounded by fields and forests on all sides, and it's amazing that at place so close to Copenhagen (10 mi) can be so quit – we actually never heard a car, airplane or other noise during our stay. The living room was very relaxing and the breakfast choice was amazing and freshly cooked. We could chat easily with our host and every evening we would use the weber grill on the terrace, taking our meal surrounded by a view to 'die' for - We will certainly use 'Ryethojgaard' again and would highly recommend it to anyone.
5 out of 5Copenhagen's best kept secret
December 03, 2010
Situated just a short drive North from Copenhagen in an idyllic setting near the lake, the forest, and the golf course, this is indeed Copenhagen's best kept secret (but not for long!) We stayed here three times during the summer of 2010 and we loved it. We saw deer running across the fields almost daily and the setting is just beautiful. A short walk takes you to the lake and the forest surrounding the lake. The rooms all have beautiful views and direct access to the patio areas. If you need to get into the center of Copenhagen, the motorway is just a 5 minute drive away and you're in the center of town within 15 minutes. So while you feel like you're really out in the countryside, you're really not far from the city, at all. We'll be back again next summer.
5 out of 5A heartly recommendation
August 10, 2010
My wife and I have stayed in many B & B's in several countries and we rate Ryethojgard among the best. The room, and bath, was spacious, clean, and well-furnished. It had a French door that opened on to a patio and also a wonderful view of green fields and the woodlands. The estate borders a big forest with a really nice lake, its a great place for a walk after dinner - or an early morning jog. Eva has 3 dogs, one mastiff and 2 dash hounds – All of them friendly and great with kids. It also offers amenities one might expect in a higher priced hotel, such as good safe parking, free the and coffee, Wi-Fi with free internet access, and LCD TV with dvd player in the room Their breakfast selection was punctual and very good with freshly baked buns, and more than one typically expects in a B&B The location is great being 15 min from Copenhagen center, Eva is a wonderful host and we heartily recommend Ryethojgard
