Quiet, clean and pleasant rooms in a conveniently situated and revitalized residential waterfront district, 10 minutes walk to the city centre, yet only a 25-minute journey from the airport. Friendly atmosphere. Secure cellar for cycle storage. There are two clean, light, quiet, and comfortable guest rooms: * Double room with twin beds, private entrance, free wi-fi, cable TV, hair dryer, electric kettle and free tea/coffee. * Single room with private entrance, free WiFi, radio, electric kettle and free tea/coffee. An extra bed is available for this room. The WC/shower is shared and just a step from the rooms, and although small, it is a fine example of practical Danish design. Linen, soap and towels are included. (Sorry, 3rd floor, no elevator and non-smoking) The place is conveniently situated in the old part of Islands Brygge, a residential waterfront district very close to the city centre. Many of Copenhagen's main sights and attractions within walking distance; for example, it’s just a 10-minute walk to Tivoli Gardens, and a fascinating 20-minute walk to the quaint streets of Christianshavn and the 'free city' of Christiania. Other places are easy to get to, as there are frequent bus services, a waterbus, and a Metro station close by (5 minutes to Bella Center). Also, it’s only a few minutes to walk to Copenhagen University's Faculty of Humanities, IT and other university departments. The area is a unique blend of old and new architecture and there is a good selection of places to eat and drink, with restaurants, takeaways, cafés, pubs and bakeries to suit every taste and budget, as well as convenience shops and supermarkets. Quite a few artists have studios in the area, and there are several galleries that show the work of both local and international artists. For those who want to cool off on a hot summer's day, there is a free harbour swimming pool, and for those interested in tango dancing, the Tango Urquiza studio is nearby.

The room was very comfortable and I enjoyed the quiet nights and waking up in an atmosphere similar to people who live here in Copenhagen. The bed was very comfortable. It is more convenient than I thought on the first night.

If you're looking for simple accommodation in Copenhagen then I can recommend Egilsgade 41. Situated in the centre of Copenhagen, a lovely 30 minute walk from Central Station & Tivoli. Clean & basic. All you need for a budget week-end.

We only stayed a couple of nights, but they were extremely pleasant and relaxing. The accommodation was in a traditional Copenhagen apatment, it was quiet, and transport to the airport and the city was good. Altogether a pleasant experience.

This room is situated at such a great place, where everything is so close. You can walk to the centre, spend nice time by channel which is just behind corner, take a walk in huge park which is 5 minutes on foot, buy something in near supermarket. So all facilities are really great and I felt there almost as a local. Rooms are clean and very cosy and Carole is such a nice, positive and active person so it's definitely worth visiting. Eliška

I can recommend this place. It is very central located and quiet at the same time. The rooms are spacious and tidy and equiped with everything you need. A bakery and a nice place for your having breakfast is close by. I think it is a very good alternative to the expensive hotels in Copenhagen.
