Spectacular! As soon as we arrived, Theresa, the innkeeper warmly greeted us and gave us a tour of the newly renovated home. The inn has recently been lovingly and accurately restored back to its Victoriana era – from the home’s double parlour orientation, to the original tile fireplace surrounds, ornate marquetry of the floors, lead stained glass windows and chandeliers, period furniture and more -- not a single detail has been overlooked. The spacious bedrooms are beautifully and comfortably appointed with the finest linens. The luxe accommodations were only outdone by the most delicious homemade breakfast of poached eggs on crab cakes served over local tomatoes and fresh herbs, home baked zucchini English muffins and peach jam. Theresa is the most accomplished chef who creates wonders from Connecticut’s fresh and local produce. All in all, the most welcoming and exquisitely run establishment!
