Inn Details
The 1870 Second Empire house is located on the last non-commercial historic Main Street in Connecticut. It offers two suites and one bedroom, all with private bathroom. The property has 8 acres of land and a swimming pool. Caroline, a native of Suffield, and her husband Etienne, a native of Belgium, open SPENCER ON MAIN in September 2004. They settled in Suffield in 1986 after traveling throughout the world for 15 years. They always wanted to open a B&B that was different than the many they visited. Guests at SPENCER ON MAIN enjoy the fresh scent of fine linen, the comfort of the canopy beds and the coziness of the plush bathrobes. To ensure privacy, each guestroom has cable TV, DVD/VCR, stereo system, Wi-FI, and central air conditioning. Upon request, early coffee or tea is served in the guestrooms with the guests’ favorite newspaper. The breakfasts at SPENCER ON MAIN are cooked to order and blend Belgium and American traditional recipes. The property is conveniently located between Hartford CT and Springfield MA. Free pickup is provided to and from Bradley International airport and Windsor Locks Amtrak station.
